Mid-market ERP continues to evolve and gain functionality. However, while all ERP systems promote their ability to manage perpetual inventory, they lack real time capability of tracking the movement of materials. They traditionally are paper based which creates lag times between material movement (inflow, outflow and transfers) and when those transactions are recorded in the ERP system. Pocket ES from WiSys is based on the concept of real time material management.

Pocket ES records material as it arrives on the receiving dock to determining and recording put away to picking of components for manufacturing or picking and packing for sales order fulfillment. Other transactional functions have been added where they assist in better inventory management or are an integrated role to materials management such as Cycle Counting, QC, Material transfers and adjustments.

Benefits include shortening order turnaround times, higher inventory accuracy, increased order fill rates, and improved shipment accuracy. These benefits can be quantified, and include productivity increases from 20 to 30% and inventory and shipping accuracy rates that exceed 99%. Most users will also see better utilization of floor space, inventory reductions, fewer data entry errors, and reductions in the amount of inventory lost to shrinkage.

Exact is pleased to announce the year end updates are available for Exact Macola Progression version 7.7 and above as well as Exact Macola ES version 9.5 and above.

These updates are availabe for Payroll W-2 processing and Accounts Payable 1099 processing. There are changes to the 1099 electronic filing that require you to run this update prior to processing 1099s. Tax Table updates for processing 2010 payroll are also available in a separate download.
